Multilac is dedicated to nurturing the career growth of its employees, along with sharpening their skills and capabilities.

The company provides internal training sessions to our production supervisors at the staff level. These sessions are designed to enhance their job-specific knowl- edge, simplifying their roles. Additionally, Multilac strongly endorses on-the-job training for their employees; not only does this empower individuals to pursue their professional aspirations, but it also enables the company to bridge any skill gaps.

Multilac extends internship opportunities to the emerging workforce with the aim of facilitating their professional development and preparing university students for their upcoming life stages. This approach blends formal education with practical on-the-job training to offer a comprehensive educational experience for the next generation.

Beyond job-specific training, Multilac orchestrates initiatives that have broader benefits for its employees. For instance, Multilac engaged government representa- tives to offer insights into labour laws related to the ‘Employees; Provident Fund’ (EPF) and ‘Employees’ Trust Fund’ (ETF) along with other fundamental knowledge areas. In addition, health and safety training sessions are conducted under the banner of ‘Creating a Better and Safer Workplace’.

At Multilac, job rotation is practiced, which entails periodically shifting all employ- ees across different roles. This approach ensures that they gain the exposure to various departments within the company, concurrently enhancing their skill sets. Multilac believes that job rotation facilitates the transfer of experience, skills and knowledge among employees in different locations and functions, ultimately fos- tering the development of human capital in terms of performance and experience.

Multilac actively engages with emerging professionals from all corners of Sri Lanka through professional social media networks to offer career advancement opportunities within the organisation. This approach is in line with the company’s firm belief that the forefront of cultural change and innovation should be spearheaded by young talents.

Every section and department within Multilac provides training for entry-level employees in order to equip them for higher-level roles. Well-defined career progression paths have been established within each department, and employees are continuously motivated to advance in their careers. It is important to note that it is often young professionals at Multilac who assume managerial roles within their respective departments.

Multilac is resolutely committed to attracting fresh talent. As such, qualified employees are often given priority for internal promotions or vacancies. Initially, all job openings are advertised internally, giving our team members the first opportunity to apply.
