Multilac 3 in 1 Waterproofing Paint, manufactured by Macksons Paints Lanka (Pvt.) Limited, has been honoured with the Gold award at the Ceylon Institute of Builders (CIOB) Green Award for Products and Systems.
This accolade underscores Multilac’s exceptional commitment to sustainability and innovation in the Sri Lankan construction industry.
The CIOB Green Award recognises products and systems that have demonstrated outstanding leadership in promoting sustainable practices, environmental preservation, social responsibility and economic resilience. Multilac 3 in 1 Waterproofing Paint stood out among the nominees, due to its remarkable contributions to these areas.

This revolutionary paint redefines the standards of sustainable construction. Its exceptional water resistance and repellent properties protect surfaces, including roofs, walls and bathrooms, from water damage. What truly sets it apart is its ability to reflect sunlight, reducing interior temperatures by up to 5°C, thus conserving energy and thereby offering economic advantages to both property owners and the construction industry.
Multilac’s commitment to environmental preservation is evident through its low volatile organic compound (VOC) content. Certified as Lead Safe by IPEN USA and holding Green, ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and SLS certifications, the paint embodies the highest sustainability standards.

The product’s leadership examples showcased its impact on projects such as Citrus Waskaduwa Beach Resort, Park Lane Residencies Homagama and New Cargills Food City Branches. Its utilisation on these properties, from exterior walls to blind walls and energy-sensitive areas, exemplifies its versatility and effectiveness.
“We are thrilled to receive the CIOB Green Award Gold recognition, which underscores our commitment to transforming the construction industry towards sustainability,” said Macksons Paint Lanka (Pvt.) Limited General Manager Sales Mihiran Opatha.
