Multilac, Sri Lanka’s largest exporter of paint and a renowned heritage brand of Macksons Holdings, has appointed Sri Lankan cricket all-rounder Wanindu Hasaranga as the Brand Ambassador for the company.

The signing event, which took place at Mandarina Colombo, was attended by the senior management of Multilac and Macksons Holdings, as well as Hasaranga.

Macksons Paint Industries COO Sajjaad Saliheen said: “We are very excited to onboard Wanindu as the Brand Ambassador for Multilac. I believe that this collaboration between two very unique and high-achieving products of our beloved country will allow us to link synergies where both parties will benefit in the long run.

“Wanindu is the ideal personality to promote our heritage brand in our respective markets, and will also be a key factor in helping us connect with our potential customers, especially those in other countries that play cricket.”

Cricket star Wanindu Hasaranga said: “I am grateful to receive this opportunity, and I am more than happy to endorse a truly Sri Lankan company that grew on the same land as I did. Multilac is a very well-known brand for any product in the area of surface paints and coatings- which are imperative to every household in the country, and the world, and therefore I am thankful to be associated with Multilac.”

Wanindu Hasaranga is currently the number-one ranked T20 bowler in the world and is also among the top 10 all-rounders aided by his feats as a batsman for the Sri Lanka national team. His partnership with Multilac will see the company’s future events and initiatives graced and endorsed by the cricket icon.
