Adherence to Environmental Protection Licence (EPL) Image

At Multilac, all products are based on safety measures that are both clean and sus- tainable. Whilst making the nation proud, we have not conceded on safety and sus- tainability thereby ensuring that our products are safe for all consumers as well the planet as a whole. It is this mind-set of the organisation that was instrumental in being awarded with the Green Label Certification (GLS) for its products, being the first Sri Lankan paint company in the nation to receive this honour. The Green Label Council Sri Lanka (GLS) is an independent and voluntary scheme, which strives to identify and distinguish products that are, based upon full life cycle considerations. This scheme is not only environmentally preferable to comparable products with the same function but ensures overall sustainability. It is managed and delivered by the Green Label Council Sri Lanka (GLS) with contributions from the foreign test- ing committees and a number of supporting organizations.

Furthermore we also have the honour of being certified as lead-safe, by the IPEN Institute of America, placing us amongst the only three paint companies in the world to have managed to get the Lead Safe Certification from IPEN – USA. Multilac has hence joined a growing list of paint brands that have secured Lead Safe Paint through this newly-launched global third-party certification program, which independently verifies if paint contains less than 90 parts per million total lead on a dry weight basis. To date, only six paint brands from three leading companies have passed the rigorous verification procedures.

These achievements are credited to the measures taken by our organization to ensure that while we provide our customers the greatest product; we also work with the objective of saving our environment.
