Globally, individuals who are differently-abled are actively participating and making valuable contributions across various employment sectors. At Multilac, we have had the privilege of welcoming six dedicated individuals with Special Needs into our workforce who has served at a great capacity over the years.

These remarkable individuals, while facing unique challenges, have been seamlessly integrated into our workforce thanks to the care and support provided by our staff. Their presence enriches our workplace with diversity, fostering an environment of understanding and respect.

Mr. M. G. P. Wijekoon, our dedicated Machine Operator (Employee Number 4181), brings his unwavering commitment and remarkable resilience to our team. Despite facing visual impairment, he has been an indispensable member of our establishment since 2018. His dedication shines brightly in his role within Multilac’s Production Section.

Ms. Shriyalatha Fernando, our esteemed Tea-Maker (Employee Number 4880), possesses unique talents and abilities. Despite facing challenges related to healing and speech, she has become an invaluable member of our team since 2021. Ms. Fernando fulfills her role as a Tea-Maker with utmost dedication and commitment, stationed within the Tea-Room under the Human Resource Department.
