1. Cleaning the Surface
- Ensure the surface is clean, dry, and free from grease, oil, dust, wax, and loose particles.
- Clean with a suitable solvent or thinner if necessary.
2. For Wood Surfaces
- Sand smooth with 180–320 grit sandpaper along the grain.
- For bare wood: remove all imperfections and smooth the grain.
- For previously varnished wood: sand lightly to dull the surface and promote adhesion.
- Remove sanding dust with a tack cloth or vacuum.
3. For Metal Surfaces
- Ensure the metal is rust-free and primed using a compatible anticorrosive metal primer (e.g., Multilac Red Oxide Primer).
- Sand lightly if previously painted to ensure adhesion.
- Remove all dust, rust, and contaminants before applying the varnish.
4. Filling and Staining (Wood only)
- Use wood filler to repair nail holes or imperfections.
- If wood staining is required, apply Multilac Wood Stain before the varnish and allow it to dry fully.
5. Application Environment
- Apply in a well-ventilated, dust-free area.
- Avoid high humidity, strong sunlight, or wind during application.
- Ideal temperature: 20°C to 35°C
