- Plastered Walls.
- Concrete Surfaces.
- Previously Painted Interior Walls.
- Fiber Cement Boards / Drywall (Gypsum).
1. Surface Condition Check:
- Ensure the surface is fully cured, dry, and structurally sound.
- New cement plaster should cure for at least 28 days.
- Cleaning:
- Remove dust, dirt, grease, algae, mildew, and loose paint using:
- Wire brush, scraper, or high-pressure water jet.
- For fungal/algal growth, treat with Multilac Anti-Fungal Wash, then rinse and allow to dry.
- Repair Major Cracks:
- Use appropriate crack filler or repair mortar for cracks larger than a hairline
- Allow to dry and cure.
- Priming (if needed):
- For chalky, powdery, or highly absorbent surfaces, apply: (do not need to apply any primer or filler, if any large holes need to be filled with a cementitious mixer).
- Multilac Exterior Wall Primer or Weather Guard Primer Sealer.
- Allow the primer to dry for 4–6 hours.
- Application of Restoration Compound:
- Apply Multilac Restoration Compound (Exterior) using a trowel or putty knife.
- Spread evenly to fill and smooth imperfections.
- For deeper areas, apply in multiple layers, letting each layer dry fully.
- Once dry, sand smooth to achieve a level surface.
- Drying Time:
- Touch Dry: 1–2 hours.
- Recoating / Sanding: 6–8 hours (or until fully dry).
