1. New Surfaces (Unpainted Masonry):
- Curing:
- Allow surfaces to cure fully for 28 days after plastering.
- Cleaning:
- Remove dust, dirt, grease, oil stains, and loosely bound particles.
- Alkalinity treatment (if needed):
- Apply Multilac 3-in-1 Alkali-Resistant Speed Primer to neutralize high pH.
- Surface filling:
- Apply Multilac Premium Acrylic Wall Filler to level the surface and fill imperfections.
- Let dry thoroughly and sand to a very smooth finish.
- Primer:
- Use Multilac Interior Water-Based Wall Primer to ensure good adhesion and a uniform surface.
2. Previously Painted Surfaces:
- Check for damage:
- Scrape off loose, peeling, or flaking paint.
- Treat fungus or mildew:
- Clean affected areas with a diluted bleach solution (1 part bleach to 3 parts water), rinse, and dry.
- Smooth the surface:
- Sand thoroughly to remove gloss and create a smooth base.
- Filling:
- Use Multilac Acrylic Wall Filler where required.
- Sand again after filler dries.
- Prime:
- Apply Multilac Interior Primer over patched areas or the entire surface if necessary.
3. Application of Platinum Shimmer
- Base coat:
- Apply a coat of Multilac Luxury Emulsion or a designated basecoat in a shade that complements the shimmer effect.
- Top coat:
- Apply Multilac Platinum Shimmer using special techniques (e.g., sponge, spatula, roller) to create desired effects.
- No dilution recommended unless specified on the label.
- Drying time:
- Touch dry: ~1 hour.
- Recoat or texturing: After 4–6 hours.
