- Exterior walls, Cement plastered surfaces, concrete, brickwork, and asbestos.
1. Check Surface Suitability
- Applicable on:
- Cement plaster.
- Concrete.
- Brickwork.
- Exterior masonry.
- Previously painted walls (after proper preparation).
2. Initial Surface Cleaning
- Remove all dust, dirt, grease, chalky residue, and loose paint.
- Use a wire brush or pressure washer for effective cleaning.
- For previously painted walls, remove peeling/flaking paint completely.
3. Mould, Algae, or Fungus Treatment
- Wash affected areas with a fungicidal wash or bleach solution (1 part bleach : 3 parts water).
- Scrub thoroughly, rinse with clean water, and allow to dry completely.
4. Repair Wall Defects
- Fill hairline cracks, holes, and surface imperfections with:
- Multilac Acrylic Wall Filler or
- Multilac Exterior Crack Filler.
- After drying, sand the smooth and clean surface of dust.
5. Dry & Cured Surface
- Ensure walls are fully dry and cured.
- New plastered surfaces: Cure for at least 28 days.
- Surface moisture should be <12%.
6. Priming (Recommended)
- Apply 1 coat of Multilac Water-Based Exterior Primer or Weather Guard Elastomeric Primer (for highly porous or chalky surfaces).
- This ensures better adhesion, coverage, and long-term durability.
- Allow to dry for 4–6 hours before topcoat application.
7. Application of Multilac Luxury Promise Exterior Emulsion
- Stir well before and during use.
- Apply 2 coats with a brush, roller, or spray.
- Drying time:
- Touch dry in 30 minutes.
- Recoverable in 4–6 hours (depending on weather).
