1. New Surfaces (Unpainted Masonry):
- Ensure curing:
- Allow plaster/concrete to cure for at least 28 days before painting.
- Clean thoroughly:
- Remove all dust, dirt, grease, and loose particles.
- Neutralize alkalinity:
- If needed, apply Multilac 3-in-1 Alkali-Resistant Speed Primer to reduce alkalinity.
- Fill imperfections:
- Use Multilac Acrylic Wall Filler or Premium Acrylic Filler to smoothen surface.
- Sand the surface:
- Lightly sand to obtain a smooth base.
- Apply primer:
- Use Multilac Water-Based Wall Primer (Interior) for improved adhesion.
2. Previously Painted Surfaces:
- Check for defects:
- Remove any loose or flaking paint.
- Treat fungus/mildew:
- Clean with a diluted bleach solution, then rinse and dry.
- Smoothen:
- Sand the surface to eliminate gloss from old paint.
- Fill and repair:
- Use suitable fillers where required.
- Prime if needed:
- If patches or filler are applied, spot-prime with interior primer.
3. Recommended Paint Application
- Tools:
- Brush, roller, or airless spray.
- Dilution:
- If needed, dilute with clean water (usually up to 10%).
- Coats:
- Apply 2 coats of Multilac Platinum Omnis Silk Paint.
- Drying time:
- Touch dry: ~30 minutes.
- Recoat: After 4–6 hours.
