- Suitable for concrete, plaster, cement boards, drywall, and previously painted surfaces.
1. Check the Surface Type
- Suitable for interior walls and ceilings (plastered, masonry, cement, concrete, gypsum, or previously painted surfaces).
2. Clean the Surface
- Remove all dust, dirt, grease, oil, fungi, algae, or other contaminants.
- Use a mild detergent or appropriate cleaning solution if needed.
- Allow the surface to dry completely before proceeding.
3. Remove Loose or Flaking Paint
- Scrape off any loose, flaking, or peeling paint using a wire brush or scraper.
- For old surfaces, sand to a smooth finish.
4. Repair Surface Imperfections
- Fill cracks, holes, or dents with a recommended filler or wall putty (e.g., Multilac Acrylic Wall Filler).
- Allow it to dry and sand smooth.
- Ensure the surface is even and free of dust after sanding.
5. Neutralize Dampness and Efflorescence (if present)
- Treat damp areas with a waterproofing solution.
- If efflorescence (white powdery substance) is present, brush it off and treat with alkali-resistant primer.
6. Priming (if necessary)
- For new or bare surfaces, apply a suitable primer such as:
- Multilac Water-Based alkali-resistant Wall Primer (interior)
(when apply alkali resistant primer on wall putty, dilute the wall primer a minimum 25% with clean water)
Let the primer dry completely before applying the emulsion.
7. Application Tips:
- Stir the Multilac Premium Sheen Emulsion thoroughly before use.
- Apply 2 coats for best coverage using a brush, roller, or spray.
- Allow sufficient drying time between coats (typically 4–6 hours).
- Do not apply in high humidity or direct sunlight.
