- Interior walls and ceilings, including plaster, cement, concrete, and drywall.
1. Surface Suitability
- Designed for exterior walls: cement plaster, concrete, brickwork, masonry, asbestos, and fiber cement boards.
2. Initial Cleaning
- Remove dirt, dust, grease, algae, fungi, and loose particles.
- Wash the surface with clean water, or use a pressure washer for best results. (can be used Multilac disinfecting wall wash and need wash by high pressure water jet)
3. Remove Loose or Flaking Paint
- Scrape off loose, flaking, or chalky old paint using a scraper or wire brush.
- Sand the surface lightly to ensure smoothness and better adhesion.
4. Efflorescence & Dampness
- If you see white powdery deposits (efflorescence), brush them off thoroughly.
- For damp or water-affected areas, resolve the moisture source and allow the wall to dry completely before painting.
- Apply a waterproofing primer (e.g., Multilac Waterproofing Primer) to improve water resistance.
5. Repair Surface Imperfections
- Fill cracks, holes, or uneven areas using Multilac Exterior Crack Filler or suitable putty.
- Allow filler to dry and then sand smooth.
- Remove all sanding dust before proceeding. (Rough surfaces are mostly recommended for outdoor surfaces.)
6. Priming (for best results)
- Apply Multilac Weather Guard Primer or Multilac Water-Based Wall Primer to: (Multilac alkali-resistant wall primer or crack bridging wall primer)
- Seal porous surfaces.
- Improve adhesion.
- Provide uniform absorption.
- Allow primer to dry thoroughly before applying topcoat.
7. Application of Multilac Weather Guard Ultra Exterior
- Stir the paint well before use.
- Apply 2 coats using a brush, roller, or airless spray.
- Allow 4–6 hours between coats.
- Do not apply during rainy weather or when the relative humidity is high.
